I really had not intended to buy a new helmet as I have several helmets and many are full face from Shoi and Bell. Good stuff but several years old and none matched the color of my new red bike. The salesman allowed me to look through the helmets while they were closing the store for the night and was attentive to my questions and I did find the size, quality and color that interested me in a clearance helmet for a lot less then I paid in the past for more expensive helmets. I made the purchase as a result of his friendliness."

"I called Cycle Gear and was told that they had the Rok Straps I was seeking in stock. I picked them up before my trip the following day and was pleased at the convenience. The next day, at the beginning of my trip, I returned / exchanged one of the pairs I purchased for the smaller size. The process was painless and fast, thank you! The salesperson was friendly and helpful.
My only complaint is that the straps are significantly more expensive at Cycle Gear than online (by over 40% for the 60 inch straps!) I do not get a warm fuzzy feeling for supporting a local business since Cycle Gear is a large National chain based out of California.
While I appreciate the local availability, if Cycle Gear wants to be competitive and earn more of my business, they should be able to match or come closer to matching other online pricing. I will continue to shop online and only use Cycle Gear for urgent needs that cannot wait unless they are or become competitive."
